Little builders

The Duluth Children's Museum brought back its Little Builders exhibit. They've had portions of it out within the last year or so, but I think Sydney was an infant the last time the full exhibit was here.

The little princess is now big enough to build her own castle. (Of course, you must always put on your reflective vest first.)
Whereas Sydney pretty much stayed in one place working with the wooden blocks, AJ was a blur of motion, running from project site to project site, working the crane, helping another boy stack some large blocks and finally settling down to build a space ship out of the same kind of Mega Blocks he ignores at home.

He also got a kick out of the graph paper, though he pretty much used it like regular notebook paper. But hey, it had cool grid lines on it so that made it special.
Phew! all that buiding can tire a girl out. Good thing there were also big, soft blocks. Sydney's final project was to build herself a bed.

On the drive home, which included traveling past numerous construction vehicles working on the I-35 Mega Project, I wondered if perhaps the kids would draw comparisons to what they had just been doing.
No.
Instead, Sydney excitedly pointed out the purple satellite on the side of the road, which is just like the one she recently used at the playground. "Look! They have a bathroom over there."
