Another snow day

Just a little follow up to my post from earlier this week... the one about how snow in April melts within a day or so. Here's the update. It's not melting. It's reproducing.

I haven't heard an official snowfall, but there's well over a foot on top of the patio table and hot tub. The news is reporting that this is now officially the snowiest April ever for this region. And I've gotten to experience it. I'm super excited to cross that one off my bucket list!

The kids are still sleeping. There's no school again. Last night, they were hopeful in predicting that today would be another snow day. I tried to point out the reality that they've already had too many snow days, so it would just mean another make up day.

Sydney quickly defended her brother, pointing out the absurdity of this, "But Alex doesn't wear make up!"

Gus seems to be having fun blazing trails in our backyard.

I'm waiting for him to figure out that in the far corner, the snow has piled up enough that he could probably clear the fence if he jumped.

If this were December, it would be so pretty. Hey, there's an idea. Once everyone wakes up, maybe we could pose for our Christmas card photo. We'll have to hurry though, because in a day or so, this will all melt. Yeah, right.

  1. Heavy rains in GA, river flooding in Illinois, snow in MN, etc.... We sure are excited to think that in 12 days we'll be heading north. In your words..."Yeah, right." Today down here the forecast is "hot, humid, breezy with temps near 90." That's not perfect weather either, but at least it's not SNOWING. Yuk.
