Lessons learned

Sydney learned a new phrase this weekend: Big mess.

Meanwhile, Mommy learned an important lesson. When you're the only adult in the house with two kids, and you need to take a shower, don't put a brand new roll of toilet paper on the spindle right before you step in the shower. Especially not one of those mega-huge-quadruple rolls.

By the time I finished my shower, Sydney had managed to unravel the approximate equivalent of two rolls of toilet paper, and was casually standing next to the toilet paging through a magazine. Looking up at me with all the sweetness and innocence she could muster, she pointed to the magazine, and said, "Reading."
