Growing up, one of my favorite memories of church involved doodling in the bulletin. I wasn't very good at it, but I knew my Dad would eventually lean over and "finish" the drawing for me, turning my scribbles into something really cool.
This weekend, I got to watch him perform this talent with AJ and his watercolors.
Amazing how a cheap paintbrush and set of paints, in the right hands, can still create nice images. There goes that excuse of mine! Grandpa tried to teach AJ how to make a sun without spiky lines sticking out of it. We'll have to see if the lesson sticks.
