The purr-fect princess

I've been asked several times how Spike is doing, now that she's the only cat in the house. The short answer? Just fine, thank you.

In the past, Spike was quite content to let Maddie take the lead. Maddie was the more aggressive one, and Spike was okay that. But now, without her feline sister to hide behind, it's as if Spike has come into her own. She's far more social - with us and even with Maggie - and a bit more adventurous.

She also seems to appreciate the lack of competition for food and nap locations.
