Vacation dreams

AJ and Sydney, you just survived a cold Northland winter. Where are you going to go now?

We're going to...

"Disney World!"
(They were yelling Disney World with absolutely ferocious intensity right as I snapped the photo, thus the odd expressions on their faces.)

It's hard to tell what the kids really know about Disney World. Several of their friends have been there and obviously told them it's a fun place. I think it's been built up in their minds as simply the greatest place you can imagine. AJ wants to see a ghost pirate ship and the big castle. Sydney wants to see Mickey Mouse, but then immediately follows that up by saying "I no like costumes." Should be interesting.

We've been tormenting the kids a bit lately, I must confess. Anytime they're bugging each other (or us) we simply tell them we're exchanging the tickets. Instead of going to Disney World, we suggest some alternate destinations such as Broccoli-Ville, News World and Nap Land.

They were a bit worried at first, but are now well-versed in the joke. They now typically respond in unison, "No, Disney World!"
